Please read these terms carefully. By creating a Conteak account or using the service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use Conteak.
Conteak is a personal relationship and productivity management application operated by DNV ARC, a partnership firm registered under the laws of India.
Conteak is a product and registered trademark of DNV ARC. References to "Conteak," "we," "us," and "DNV ARC" in these Terms refer to the same legal entity, DNV ARC.
Conteak provides a private space to manage your personal contacts, notes, tasks, life dates, and career records. It is designed for individual personal use, not for business CRM or team collaboration.

Your account is created using Google or Microsoft OAuth. You are responsible for:
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in abusive behaviour, or are used fraudulently.
New accounts receive a 14-day free trial with full access to all Conteak features. No credit card is required to start the trial.
At the end of the trial period, access to the app will be suspended until you subscribe to a paid plan. Your data remains safe and intact during the suspended period and will be fully accessible upon subscription.
If no subscription is purchased within 60 days of trial expiry, DNV ARC reserves the right to permanently delete the account and all associated data without further notice.
Prices are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers.
Subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis depending on your chosen plan. Payment is processed by Razorpay (India) or Stripe (Global). We do not store your payment card details.
Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before the renewal date. You will receive a reminder email before renewal.
You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will continue to have access to the service until the end of the period you have paid for.
All subscription fees are strictly non-refundable, including on cancellation, partial-period use, or non-use of the Service. This applies without exception. See our Refund Policy for full details.
You agree not to use Conteak to:
Violation of these terms may result in immediate account suspension without refund.
Indemnification. You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless DNV ARC, its officers, and partners from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your violation of these Terms, your misuse of the Service, or the data you store, including personal data about third parties.
You own all content you create in Conteak — your contacts, notes, tasks, and all other data belong to you.
By using Conteak, you grant DNV ARC a limited licence to store, process, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the service to you. We do not use your content for any other purpose.
You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of the personal data you store about other individuals in Conteak. By storing third-party personal data, you represent that you have a legitimate basis to do so.
Sensitive personal data stored in Conteak is encrypted at rest and in transit as a security safeguard.
Our Intellectual Property. The Conteak name, logo, brand, software, source code, user interface, design, and all underlying technology are the exclusive property of DNV ARC. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right, title, or interest in DNV ARC's intellectual property, other than the limited right to use the Service as permitted herein. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, or create derivative works of the Service.
We aim to provide a reliable service but do not guarantee 100% uptime. We may occasionally need to perform maintenance, updates, or repairs that temporarily affect availability. We will endeavour to provide advance notice of planned downtime where possible.
DNV ARC shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from service interruptions, technical failures, or data loss caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Force Majeure. DNV ARC shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance resulting from causes beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, war, terrorism, riots, government action or regulation, internet or telecommunications failures, power outages, or failures or outages of third-party infrastructure, hosting, or cloud service providers relied upon to deliver the Service.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, DNV ARC shall not be liable for:
Our total liability to you for any claim arising under these terms shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) the applicable annual subscription fee for your plan.
DNV ARC encrypts sensitive personal data at rest and in transit. While we implement reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, no system of storage or transmission is completely immune to failure or unauthorised access. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, DNV ARC's liability for any data-related incident is limited as set out in this Section 9, and excludes indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
This limitation does not apply to, and nothing in these Terms excludes or limits, DNV ARC's obligations under applicable data protection law (including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023), or any loss caused by DNV ARC's gross negligence, wilful misconduct, or fraud.
You may delete your account at any time from your Profile page. Account deletion permanently removes all your data and is irreversible.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account with or without notice if you breach these Terms of Service, engage in fraudulent activity, or if required by law.
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the app at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of Conteak after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of India.
Mandatory Arbitration. Any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall first be referred to and finally resolved by arbitration conducted by a sole arbitrator appointed by DNV ARC, in accordance with the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996. The seat and venue of arbitration shall be India, and the proceedings shall be conducted in English. The arbitration award shall be final and binding on both parties. Nothing in this clause prevents DNV ARC from seeking injunctive or equitable relief in a court of competent jurisdiction where necessary to protect its intellectual property or confidential information.

DNV ARC may, from time to time, offer features labelled as "beta," "experimental," or "early access." Such features are provided on an "as is" basis without any warranty of uptime, accuracy, or continued availability, and DNV ARC may modify, suspend, or discontinue them at any time without liability.
You represent that you are not located in, and will not access or use the Service from, any country or region subject to comprehensive trade sanctions under Indian law or the law of your jurisdiction, and that you are not on any restricted party or sanctions list. DNV ARC reserves the right to suspend or terminate access to the Service where required to comply with applicable export control or sanctions laws.
DNV ARC may assign, transfer, or delegate these Terms and its rights and obligations hereunder, in whole or in part, at any time, without notice or consent, including in connection with a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or sale of assets. You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without DNV ARC's prior written consent.
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court or arbitrator of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be severed and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
These Terms of Service, together with our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, and Refund Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and DNV ARC regarding the Service, and supersede any prior agreements, representations, or understandings, whether written or oral, including any statements made by customer support or other DNV ARC personnel.
